Peace On Earth- Good Will Toward Men

The subject line, "Peace on Earth- Good Will Toward Men"....Words of
substance, or hollow syllables? Lets reflect for just a moment....And, Lets
be honest with ourselves, OK?

I do, like many of you, appreciate the comforts of every day routine- the
security of the familiar, the tranquility of repetition. I enjoy them as
much as anyone. But in the spirit of commemoration, thereby those important
events of the past usually associated with someones death or the end of some
awful bloody struggle, a celebration of a nice holiday, I thought we could
mark this coming December 16th, a day that is sadly no longer remembered, by
taking some time out of our daily lives to sit down and reflect. There are
of course those who do not want us to do this for we may rise up and think
for ourselves and, and worse yet... ACT! Why? Because while the truncheon
may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power.
Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the
enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong
with this country and the world, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice,
intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to
think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of
surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. We
work 3-4 months of the year to pay "our fair share" of taxes to pay for
things that 75% or more of us know is wrong! How did this happen? Who's to
blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they
will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the
guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why we did it. I know we
were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, poverty, hunger, disease. There
are a myriad of problems which have conspired to corrupt our reason and rob
us of our common sense. Fear or apathy got the best of us, and in our panic
and slumber we trusted Government. Those elected leaders in government
promised us order, promised us peace and security, and all that was required
in return was our silent submission and obedient consent as not only the
fruits of our labor are taken, but our God given rights as well. I believe
there are millions around the world ready to end the silence.

More than two hundred years ago great men gave their lives, fortunes and
sacred honor to lay the foundation that later became the GREAT EXPERIMENT
know as The United States Of America . Their goal was to show the world that
fairness, justice, and freedom are more than words, they are perspectives.
Since then, hundreds of thousands have given their lives defending the same.
So if you've seen nothing... if the crimes of this government remain unknown
to you, then I would suggest you allow this letter to hit your trash bin.
But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I
seek, then I ask you to stand beside me and tens of thousands of others this
December the 16th[6 days from today], and together with a 'CLICK"of your
mouse, we shall give the world a Tea Party that shall never, ever be forgot.

2 Ways to Help get Ron Paul TV ads on the air in Iowa and New Hampshire

1.I will donate FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS to get Ron Paul's message on the airwaves in Iowa and New Hampshire if 160 of you donate at LEAST $100 each. I'm putting up 50 times the amount I'm asking each of you to donate. This is because I love freedom and I love Ron Paul. If the mainstream media refuses to cover Paul, WE WILL. We will bombard the state of New Hampshire with Ron Paul's freedom-loving message. We will re-target Iowa (if Ron Paul received 9.1% of the vote in Ames after campaigning in Iowa for just ONE WEEK, think what we can do in Iowa and New Hampshire in two or three MONTHS). Go pledge now

2.Operation New Hampshire is a project of Americans United for Freedom PAC, a single candidate Political Action Committee registered with the FEC. Since we're a PAC, we're independent from the Ron Paul campaign and are run by the grassroots. Individuals can donate up to $5,000 per election cycle to the PAC to support our efforts to get Ron Paul ads on TV. All money we raise goes straight to TV airtime; none of it goes to administrative, etc. costs. On the left hand side, click on the "ChipIn!" button to donate.

Ron Paul Revolutionaries - Who doesn't want him elected?

....So ask yourself, "who would gain if Ron Paul is elected?" The answer is easy. Anyone who works for a private company. Anyone who owns or desires to own a small business. Anyone who is attending or will attend school in the future. Anyone who pays taxes. Anyone who wants to reverse inflation. Anyone who wants to be make their own decisions regarding their health and well-being. Anyone who loves freedom and believes that the constitution was a tool to restrain the government. Anyone who cares about privacy. Anyone who wants to retain the right to self-defense.
...So if all that is true, who would want to skew the polls? Who would want to fraudulently steal the election? Who would doctor the results so that he never becomes the President of the United States? That answer is just as easy.

Call for Volunteers

Back in Feb. when Dr. Paul announced setting up an exploratory committee for a possible 08 presidential run, those of us that where already very familiar DR Paul and all he stands for became very excited and got right to work.
I think it was March 13th that this blog was created with the first post giving this blog it's name.

Anyway since March 13, I have been the lone administrator posting to this blog.
As I also spend much time canvassing, I have been very remiss of my business duties.
You have probably noticed posts have become less frequent.

There is allot of redundancy in news of our campaign.
So I would like to recruit contributors to this blog.
In Fact, If someone would like to, I have registered a the domain name "AmericasBraveheart.com", but since I am not a web master type, lack the ability and time to carry that torch any further myself.
Volunteers to post to this blog and/or build a new web page, please step forward! email me- liberty10@starband.net

For very up to the minute news and anouncments, let me refer you to these 2 GREAT BLOGS:

Congressman Ron Paul's Secret Revealed

Dr. Paul is the most moral, upstanding, best hope this country has. Those who have read his writings and seen him speak have learned this. I invite all to do the same. Please click on this link to see his writings and things people have written about him. Find out WHY his campaign is growing so fast, so exponentially, and with so many individual supporters. Find out WHY most of his money comes from donations of less than $250 dollars each and almost none from the big players who want government favors. Find out WHY people become so passionate about a silly politician. Have you ever seen such a thing before?
Dr. Paul offers us all hope. Hope that things can actually change in this country and we will not get another 4 years of the same. Disenfranchised Democrats, who voted expecting their party to end the war only to see the money handed over to continue it, are supporting Dr. Paul. Why? Because Ron Paul voted against the war the first time it was brought up, he voted against it the second time it was brought up and he wants to end it completely now. You can always trust people: you can trust them to act the way they have in the past.

Spontanous and creative Ron Paul support.

This was a post from Karl on a Ron Paul Yahoo group.... In regards to the spontanious and creative campaign support coming from folks as they learn of and here Ron Pauls message of Liberty, Peace and Prosperity.
______
Visualize the future the way you want it to be, with color and emotion. See yourself shaking hands with Ron Paul in the Oval Office, and exchanging mutual congratulations. The more tactile and real this picture is to you, personally, the more powerful it becomes as a magnet, drawing you to do everything your creative subconscious can come up with to "Make It So."Visualizaion is an important part of inventing the future. When you can't wait to make it happen you know you are on the right track. Remember, not one of us has ever seen a campaign like this, a campaign that's rumbling from the bottom up, a campaign in which the candidate is scrambling to catch up with the people, a campaign in which money in the bank is much less important than money in your pocket and people in the street. None, and I repeat, NONE of the standard comparisons make sense for us. They are distractions.
Our hearts are in the right place. Liberty is the goal.
Getting Ron Paul elected is the ball.
Keep your eyes on the ball.

The Ron Paul Paradigm

Imagine one presidential candidate offering solutions to all the major ills of this country; someone focused on uniting us instead of dividing us. The one candidate who fits this Rx is Dr. Ron Paul, a 10-term Congressman from Texas. Dr. Paul's personal and professional history vouch for his character; his honesty and integrity provide a strong foundation for his current run for the office of President of the United States.

Ron Paul-Cesar Millan: My Dream Ticket

Ron Paul should be the presidential choice of every person who loves the United States of America; every person who respects the Constitution, the Republic, the Promises, and the Philosophies upon which this nation was founded; of every person who wants an economically, educationally, Freedom-secured future for themselves and their children. There is no other who can hold a candle to Ron Paul, who is the most intelligent, principled, disciplined man I have ever met. There is no other I would send in his stead. Dr. Ron Paul is a true Statesman; most certainly not a 'politician'. .......
-------------
Dr. Ron Paul's philosophies and goals are far from random; hugely larger than slight; but the changes he will bring about will be remarkable; certainly "like a meteorite striking the earth." Ron Paul is the person to support and elect to the office of President of the United States of America in 2008. He is our chance to swivel and change directions. We must act to support this only foreseeable opportunity to return America to its wise, intelligent, productive, culturally-healthy, freedom-securing Founding Principles. Could Ron Paul Really Abolish the IRS?

One of the reasons Ron Paul is gaining such enthusiastic support is that he is the only major party candidate calling for significant change. Besides withdrawing from Iraq, instituting a more sensible foreign policy, and reinstating our fundamental Constitutional freedoms, Ron Paul is also calling for substantial reductions in federal spending, enough to eventually end the income tax and abolish the Internal Revenue Service.

But how realistic is that goal? How would.....

Ron Paul Leads in Polls of People Who Have Heard Him Speak

Once they hear him, Ron Paul's supporters are very passionate about his message. A search of Internet "blogs" shows people writing zealously about him.... Nothing could be more thrilling than to see an 18-year-old excited about the election process, shouting out support for Ron Paul, begging to hear more information about the Federal Reserve and its implications for the country. Through his campaign, Ron Paul is teaching many the benefits of limited government. There should be no surprise that his message is so well received; it is the one taught to us by Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and other founding fathers. It is the message of liberty, freedom, with the basis of a republic, not a democracy. We have been lied to so often, and our Constitution ripped apart at the seams, that when a person comes along speaking basic truths and principles, it awakens a part of us buried for so long. More of this ....

The Ron Paul Earthquake

Never in American political history has there been a booming volunteer-driven, decentralized effort like Ron Paul's. All over the country, tens of thousands of self-directed individuals and groups print their own yard signs, banners, push cards, and bumper stickers; organize their own neighborhoods, towns, and states, and regions; rally and raise money; go door-to-door; demonstrate near malls and traffic intersections; register and organize voters; educate themselves in the new and old classics of liberty; create YouTubes; make phone calls; dominate FaceBook and MySpace; set up Yahoo groups, blogs, mailing lists, and Meetups; and even buy their own billboards.

The Untouchable, Unstoppable Ron Paul

First they tried to ignore him, then they tried to embarrass him, and now the attack dogs are out in full- force. In a desperate attempt they are trying to dig up any dirt from his past, but Ron Paul doesn't have any skeletons in his closet. He is a model of consistency, which can't be said for most politicians. The hit pieces are mounting, and many are trying to misrepresent him and his message, but to no avail. You must be doing something right when you are getting attacked from all sides. If Ron Paul has no chance of winning and he is nothing more then a second-tier candidate, as many are suggesting, why is there such a concerted effort to discredit and silence him? ....
The longer he stays in this race the more people his message will reach. We are on the verge of something big, and we all have a chance to make history.

Ron Paul Speaks to 1,000 in Iowa

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEJune 30, 2007
DES MOINES, IOWA – Presidential candidate Ron Paul held a rally today celebrating life and liberty at the Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines, Iowa. The event was held immediately after and next door to a Republican candidates forum sponsored by the Iowa Christian Alliance and Iowans for Tax Relief. Dr. Paul was the only GOP candidate excluded from the forum, so his campaign organized an event of its own. Despite being planned in less than a week, Dr. Paul's event singlehandedly outdrew the other forum and its six participating candidates by several hundred attendees.
"Today, Ron Paul demonstrated how deeply his message of freedom and limited government is resonating across the nation," said campaign manager Lew Moore.
Dr. Paul, addressing a packed room, received thunderous applause many times and as well as several standing ovations.....

Sobran: The Honor of Ron Paul

He may have become at last what he has always deserved to be: the most respected member of the U.S. Congress. He is also the only Republican candidate for president who is truly what all the others pretend to be, namely, a conservative. His career shows that a patriotic, pacific conservatism isn’t a paradox......
I can only attest that to know him is to love him, and knowing him for many years has only deepened the esteem I felt for him when we were both much younger men. This is a man who strikes deep chords in people’s hearts.
Every attempt to portray him as an extremist, or even eccentric, founders on his palpable probity and wisdom. His words are the carefully measured words of one given to meditation. Ron Paul is a man you listen closely to.

There's more...

The Wave Grows

Lew also said something funny but profound. He reported that prior to one of the three major televised debates all the campaign managers were gathered together to be briefed on the format, rules, etc. During this meeting, a manager for one of the other candidates demanded that he be provided with the Pantone color code of the backdrop that would appear behind his candidate!
This is what we've come to in this country. This is what passes for politics, this vapid pageantry and window dressing. The ties and the suits may go perfectly with the background and register beautifully on camera, but those suits are empty. Many rehearsed platitudes are recited through gleaming smiles, but nothing is actually said.
And then there's Ron, who cares more about ideas and knowledge and principles than about qualifying for the cover of GQ; who frequently speaks for hours without ever using notes. He is the anti-politician.

People recognize real leadership when they see it. That's what the buzz is about.

Manipulating America's Choice for President

If you take time to look closely at how the media promotes their top candidates or suddenly begins promoting a new candidate not currently in the running, you'll get a glimpse into how the Powers That Be (PTB) make sure America only gets to vote on candidates selected by them. The PTB have a real problem with the rising popularity of Rep. Ron Paul, the only reliable and principled anti-war and limited government candidate. A significant sector of voters are tired of pro-war Republicans and disgusted with go-along Democrats. In response, the PTB have three controlled candidates waiting in the wings ready to divert attention from any non-controlled candidate: New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Former Senator and actor Fred Thompson, and Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. Let's see what they're up t......

Ron Paul, the Right Man With the Right Message at the Right Time

by Dana Gabriel
He was one of only a handful of Republicans who voted against the Iraq war as well as against the National ID and Patriot Act. Dr. Paul has vowed to eliminate the IRS, CIA, and the Federal Reserve if elected president. He preaches a non-interventionist foreign policy and wants to return America to a republic. Unlike other candidates who wish to destroy the Constitution, he wants to preserve and restore it.
...His message is simple, but refreshing and in the process, he is making the other candidates look like fakes, phonies, and liars while he comes across as genuine, sincere, and honest. Read The Whole Article>

YOUR ADVERTIZING DOLLARS

One supporter out there offers this suggestion.

Also it has been suggested that using a rubber stamp would be cleaner and better looking. I highly recommend finding a website that will make rubber stamps and using one to mark bills, however if you are on a budget or would like to send some out immediately the marker method is fabulous as well! This is something everyone can do at little to no cost. All you have to do is spend your money as usual!

BTW While defacing currency IS illegal, however, merely writing or stamping on a bill doesn’t fit the Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s definition of an improper act:

In the Name of Patriotism (Who are the Patriots?)

The original American patriots were those individuals brave enough to resist with force the oppressive power of King George. I accept the definition of patriotism as that effort to resist oppressive state power. The true patriot is motivated by a sense of responsibility, and out of self interest -- for himself, his family, and the future of his country -- to resist government abuse of power. He rejects the notion that patriotism means obedience to the state.

The overwhelming majority of comments left on that blog said that Congressman Ron Paul had won the debate.Well it appears that CNN did not like all the comments that were left by the Ron Paul supporters because somewhere around 11:05 Central time they took down that blog and started redirecting to a blog of the same name that was posted on June 3rd for the Democrats debate. From Dem Chris Dodd's Website - Time Keeper

A simple observation... GOP candidates at the CNN debate were given some simple instructions to follow to keep the debate on a 'level playing field'. The rules were so blatantly over-looked and disregarded by the so-called 'major' candidates

Elect A Statesman, Not A Politician

....Ron Paul is not a politician...he is a statesman. This is my new handle for Ron Paul. He's a statesman, not a politician. Democrat or Republican...we can expect the same from either. Conservative or liberal...doesn't mean much anymore. "Politician"...bad connotation nowdays. But statesman? Ron Paul is the only candidate who can be described in that way.
web definition of statesman from wordnet.princeton.edu is:a man who is a respected leader in national or international affairs
webnet definition of politician from same source:# a leader engaged in civil administration# a person active in party politics# a schemer who tries to gain advantage in an organization in sly or underhanded ways. read More from dailypaul.com

A famous Orwell quote captures what is happening. "In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act." Why Hasn’t Rudy Giuliani Read the 9-11 Commission Report?

When Congressman Ron Paul, who has long served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, explained how 50 years of American interventionism in the Middle East has helped compromise our national security, Giuliani interrupted saying he had "never heard anything so absurd." This statement is particularly troubling coming from the former mayor who tries to cast himself as a security expert, since Dr. Paul's point comes directly from the bi-partisan 9-11 Commission Report. Ron Paul’s Radical Mix: Truth & Politics

Hats off to Ron Paul for another great performance in the Republican presidential debate in South Carolina last night.
For almost six years, politicians have acted as if it is federal crime to speak bluntly about 9/11. On the day of the attacks, George Bush proclaimed that the hijackers attacked because they hate America for its freedom. This has been treated as a revealed truth ever since. (When I saw Bush on TV that day, I was perplexed how the US government could know the motive before it knew the identity of the hijackers).
Ron Paul has never kowtowed to this dogma, and last night he deftly debunked the 9/11 catechism. More....

Blame America First? Who are you kidding?!

Anyone, with even a shred of intellectual honesty, can draw the logical conclusion that when a government bombs people for multiple years and kills over 400,000 people with sanctions, those policies will create enemies that want to hurt American citizens.
...Speak softly and carry a big stick used to stand for something. Hopefully Ron Paul can make us all remember.

When I saw that, it gave me great faith in the American people. We the people were able to see through the smokescreen that Fox News and Rudy Giulani were trying to create. A letter about the Ron Paul we know and Love

ARTICLE FOUND ON PAT BUCHANAN'S SITE ...Paul, a pro-life medical doctor, is a genuine political maverick. When the House votes for something 434 to 1, you can safely bet that Paul is the 1. He really fights for the principles other Republicans only pretend to stand for, and does so with carefully reasoned explanations of his positions. In essence, Paul appeals to that subversive document, the U.S. Constitution, long since abandoned by both major parties, not to mention the U.S. Supreme Court. He tests every proposed law by asking whether it exercises a power authorized by the Constitution. The answer is seldom yes. Many years ago Paul told me, with his affably ironic smile, that he felt more pressure from his fellow Republicans than from Democrats, because the Democrats weren’t embarrassed when a Republican voted like a real conservative, but the Republicans were. Showing up his own party has been the story of Ron Paul’s career. No other Republican has voted against President Bush as consistently as he has. Paul isn’t flamboyant or defiant about it; his style is quiet and reasonable, not combative. Being a maverick isn’t a pose for him. It’s a matter of conscience and logic. As a result, the GOP doesn’t care much for him and, if he runs, will try to stifle him. The allegedly right-wing Newt Gingrich, when he was riding high, once supported Paul’s opponent in the primary race; Gingrich knew what he was doing. A genuine conservative’s worst enemy is a fake one. And vice versa. Paul ran for president once before, in 1988, when he bolted the GOP to run on the Libertarian Party ticket. Much as I admired him, I voted for George H.W. Bush, afraid of ”wasting” my vote on Paul, who had no real chance of winning. Silly me. I soon realized I had really wasted my vote on Bush. It made no difference to Bush, after all, since he was going to win no matter what I did; but it made a difference to me. I still regret it. (And to this day, Bush has never thanked me)

SPREAD THE WORD - HOPE FOR AMERICA

Spreading the word of Ron Paul is easy.
Over on the left side, there are posters, brochure and stickers.
Post the posters on every bulletin board- Exposure-Exposure!
Print the stickers and stick them on anything stickable[and lawful]
The small stickers work great to put on all mail like christmas seals.
How about all that junk mail you get with postage paid return envelopes....
Hey put a flyer or brochure in those and a sticker on the outside and away they go.
Seen by scores on the way and the letter opener gets a treat too!

And of coarse there are banners for your web pages that you can hyperlink to RonPaul2008.com

Press Ignores Paul GOP-Debate Win

According to the MSNBC post-debate poll, the very network that carried the first GOP Presidential Primary Debate, Ron Paul won hands down - but you wouldn’t know that if you read only the usual press accounts of the event.....
... in order to preserve the evidence (in case someone at MSNBC might consider tampering ith it later), I kept screen shots of the actual poll results and printed a hard-copy as well. You never know.

Ron Paul Signs Pledge to Never Raise Your Taxes

Press release.....
......
After signing the pledge, Dr. Paul issued the following statement:

“Signing the Taxpayer Protection Pledge was easy for me. During my 10 terms in Congress, I have never voted to raise taxes, and I never will. To be honest, I can’t understand why a Republican wouldn’t sign it.
“Liberty is best served when Americans keep more of their own, hard-earned money. I think taxes should be as low as possible. As president, I would work to lower taxes for every American as I have for years as a member of Congress.”

"What will you do for freedom? Will you fight?"

stirring words of the patriot William Wallace .... "What will you do for freedom? Will you fight?"
Such was his trumpet call to rally his followers for battle with the dreaded English juggernaut seven centuries ago. Back and forth in front of his troops, Wallace rode on his prancing horse exhorting a reluctant army of Scottish rebels until they rose up to drive the English from their land. "What will you do for freedom? Will you fight," he repeatedly asked? Your life's work, Dr. Paul, has been in essence the posing of those two questions to all Americans. I write to you today, to tell you we are ready for the fight. And we need you and your prancing horse to lead the way.

Return to honest politics -- elect Ron Paul

Monica Granger Opinion Columnist

....Contrary to the pandering tongues of career politicians, Paul made his start honestly, working as an obstetrician/gynecologist and delivering more than 4,000 babies.
Few of the current choices for president can honestly boast that accomplishment. Most of them[The whole MOB] seem determined to spend our money for us and tell us what we can and cannot do or otherwise control our lives.

Most importantly, however, Paul is consistent. His principles are clear and his votes follow them to a degree that should make most career politicians blush for shame. Check the Washington Post's Web site and its amazingly accessible Votes Database for Paul's (and others') records.

Paul's principled stance is precisely what this country needs in a leader.
....the public can no longer ignore the decay visible in the highest echelons of government.

The Federal Reserve Monopoly Over Money

by Ron Paul

The greatest threat facing America today is not terrorism, or foreign economic competition, or illegal immigration. The greatest threat facing America today is the disastrous fiscal policies of our own government, marked by shameless deficit spending and Federal Reserve currency devaluation. It is this one-two punch – Congress spending more than it can tax or borrow, and the Fed printing money to make up the difference – that threatens to impoverish us by further destroying the value of our dollars. -----readWhole article....

The Sanjaya Principle: Why Ron Paul Can Be Our Next President

April 8, 2007
News Source:
Jonathan David Morris
The 2008 presidential election is now less than 19 months away. As far as I’m concerned, that means now is the time to start planning .....

... And that something different makes me believe something different can happen in next year’s election.
The something different in question is a lanky, long-haired Indian kid named Sanjaya Malakar, who, despite his lack of charisma and talent, is somehow taking this year’s “American Idol” by storm.
.... A hundred years from now, I predict historians will credit him as the reason a little known Republican congressman from Texas became our next U.S. president.
....

There isn’t a doubt in my mind that Ron Paul would be the establishment’s worst nightmare. [***Braveheart adds-But great for you, I and the counrty! ***]

First... Unlike Obama or John Edwards, Ron Paul isn’t a prepackaged candidate.
Secondly, not being prepackaged means his congressional record actually means something. You can literally tell what Ron Paul believes in just by looking at how he’s voted.
Finally, his congressional record is impressive. Unlike most congressmen, Ron Paul goes to the trouble of reading legislation before voting for it. For this reason, he knows better than to vote for most of it. A true conservative, he typically votes to conserve our nation’s money and resources. He has never voted himself a pay raise. And he is the only congressman who checks every one of his votes against the United States Constitution.

... Most of the candidates who say they’re what’s “best” are, in fact, the same people who keep screwing things up.

....No more saying, “Politics are corrupt, but there’s nothing we can do about it.” With that attitude, you’re right: There’s nothing we can do. But if a lanky, long-haired Indian kid who can’t sing can nonetheless succeed on “American Idol,” then it only goes to show that attitude is everything—especially when the people have the power to vote.
Between Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, our next president will be coming in after 16 very bizarre years in America. I’m urging everyone I know to vote for Ron Paul. And I’m urging everyone I know to urge everyone they know to do the same. I wouldn’t get behind a third-option candidate if I thought he couldn’t win. But I think Ron Paul can win if we get behind him.
Why not make 2008 the year to finally voice our dissatisfaction? To finally prop up a candidate who respects the U.S. Constitution?
Forward this article if you agree with me that now is a good time for these things to happen.
Ron Paul would be the status quo’s worst nightmare. But if we all got behind him, it would be an American dream. click there for whole story

Candidate Ron Paul worthy of presidency

To the editor: Presidential candidate Ron Paul is a real candidate.
Many of Paul's counterparts always refuse to co-sponsor bills like repealing the federal income tax and ending Social Security payouts to illegal aliens again living back in Mexico, or getting the U.S. out of the United Nations.....

Too often folks say, "I voted for the lesser of two evils." Send a message to Washington. Look up Ron Paul, and check out his voting record. You will see the man we need in the White House, a statesman leading by personal example, not another media-picked, cowardly, camera-hogging "trust me" politician worrying over his pancake makeup tint before appearing on Larry King.

"Essentially, Ron Paul wants to treat Americans as adults, rather than as children constantly begging their parents to give them what they want. He believes in freedom from taxes that fund wasteful and ineffective programs and freedom from a government powerful and intrusive enough to routinely override individual choices, when those choices do not infringe on the rights of others."

WHO IS RON PAUL?

Paul is the “one exception to the Gang of 535″ on Capitol Hill.
The Ron Paul FREEDOM PRINCIPLES are...
*Rights belong to individuals, not groups.
*Property should be owned by people, not government.
*All voluntary associations should be permissible — economic and social.
*The government’s monetary role is to maintain the integrity of the monetary unit, not participate in fraud.
*Government exists to protect liberty, not to redistribute wealth or to grant special privileges.
*The lives and actions of people are their own responsibility, not the government’s.
This really Works for me!!!

"The Revolutionary Candidate"

"The Revolutionary Candidate"
"Ron Paul has made numerous media appearances, from C-SPAN to Lou Dobbs, since and prior to the announcement of his candidacy. Still, the strategy thus far has been to ignore him to the extent possible. That approach cannot work in the long run, since for one thing the enthusiasm for Dr. Paul all over the Internet cannot be contained forever. For another, people are going to become curious about him when they watch, or hear reports about, the first Republican primary debate on May 3. They’ll see a bunch of establishment hacks uttering platitudes devised for them by handlers and focus groups, and they’ll see Ron Paul, who unlike his opponents is not only intelligent enough to write his own speeches, but who will also raise questions the other candidates would prefer not to discuss. He can pummel every single one of them on their lousy records on taxes, the Constitution, and war. Ron Paul is about to spoil the party. This will be like no other Republican primary debate in many, many years."

Different GOP Texan for president

Different GOP Texan for president

Last Updated: March 25, 2007, 10:35:23 AM PDT
If the Republican Party is ever going to have a chance to win in 2008, it will need a candidate who will repudiate, not extend, President Bush's legacy of war, corruption and profligacy. Congressman Ron Paul, R-Texas, is that man. More than just a grin and a sound bite, Paul is a man of deep convictions. He is one of the few nationally prominent Republicans who had the courage to oppose the Iraq war and the administration's ongoing assault on personal freedom.
Ron Paul is one of the few public officials at the national level who understands why the Federal Reserve system must go and why we need to return to the gold standard. As president, he would use the Constitution itself as a yardstick to determine whether a bill shall be signed or vetoed. If nominated by the GOP, he will return the party to its small government, more freedom roots. If Ron Paul is elected, we Americans can once again say with a straight face, "We live in the greatest and freest nation on Earth!"
CHARLES BYRD

Republicans Now Have a Choice

"Like Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan, Ron Paul believes that government is usually the problem, not the solution. He's the only presidential contender who's serious about restoring government to the constitutional limits intended by our nation's Founders. He deserves our support."

Doing What's Right

Doing What's Right
"As it becomes clearer that most Democrats in Congress lack the political courage to end the war, and that most Republicans in Congress are out of touch with the American people on the issue, Ron Paul becomes an ever more viable presidential candidate in 2008.
"Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, and Mitt Romney back President Bush all the way on continuing the war. Ron Paul wants to end it. Hillary Clinton and John Edwards voted for the war. Ron Paul voted against it. Barack Obama says that he opposed the war from the beginning, but he continues to vote to fund it. Ron Paul urges his colleagues in Congress to use their Constitutional power to end it.
"Yet an issue of such importance is not about political calculation, at least not for Ron Paul, as his speech clearly indicates. It's about doing what's right."

Ron Paul on Digg

Ron Paul on DiggPosted by Stephen Carson at March 23, 2007 12:03 PM
Take a look at this story on Digg. Both the story itself and its treatment on Digg are interesting. The story is a short video segment where Fox put Ron Paul on to give his spiel. What is striking is that this only happened because "hundreds" of Fox viewers contacted them (by e-mail I think) complaining about the lack of mainstream coverage of Paul's candidacy.
Then this story was put on Digg and has over 1500 Diggs, making it one of the most Dugg stories in the last couple weeks in the US Elections 2008 topic on Digg. The most popular comments (comments are voted on as well on Digg) are notable...
"Ron Paul is Founding Father material. He is the ONLY candidate worth voting for."
"Founding Father material" is right! I'm 60 years old and have never voted but I WILL vote for Ron Paul.
"I was unenthusiastic about the 2008 elections. Then a few weeks ago I learned about Dr. Ron Paul. Finally, here is a candidate I can happily support."
"...according to the Economist, Ron Paul has got some serious internet hype going for him."
"The reason you see so many people online bringing his name up is for one reason, he isn't getting the TV coverage that all the big names like Hillary are getting, so we are using the only other way we know how at this point in time, the internet. And in my opinion its a wonderful way."
Take a look at this story on Digg

Although I grew up in Seattle, my adopted hometown is now Arlington, Massachusetts. The town of Arlington is located near Lexington and Concord, where the very first battle of the American Revolutionary War took place! Today I'd like to share one with you. It is a monument to Samuel Whittemore:, which is near the center of Arlington Town.

Ron Paul is just the right guy!

For awhile, I have had to set back and listen to conservatives debate whether Sen. McCain or Gov. Romney was the least objectionable candidate. Or even worse if that is possible, I had to listen to speculation about whether Mayor Rudy Giuliani could win the Republican nomination. Almost in despair I listened as conservatives mentioned amnesty supporters Sen. Brownback and Gov. Huckabee as possible conservative alternative candidates. I wondered to myself and also aloud, “Has the conservative movement really sunk this low?”...

Rep Paul is right on spending, he is right on taxes, he is right on the border, immigration and amnesty, he is right on life, and he is right on guns. Unlike many “federalist” conservatives, he understands the importance of decentralization and State’s rights. And given the current situation in Iraq, he understands the importance of a truly “humble” foreign policy.

Another NEW Declaration of Independance

Drafted by Vincent H. Miller and Jarret B. Wollstein
Two hundred years ago our ancestors signed a document which forever changed the course of history. Colonial Americans severed the bonds to a tyrannical king and parliament in England and established in America for the first time a society based on the principle of the rule of law and limited government. Benjamin Franklin, one of our great statesmen, stated at this time: "Gentlemen we give you a Republic — if you can keep it."
The result was a glorious and turbulent 200+ years which witnessed the greatest achievements, the highest standard of living, and the highest levels of individual freedom ever experienced in human history. However, we have allowed government to grow without bounds so that today the golden prize of liberty has been all but lost.

WE THE PEOPLE of these fifty States have patiently suffered mounting government outrages against us ...
...These are the crimes of the State against its citizens:
They have erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our People, and eat out their substance. The IRS,

It is time for a New Declaration of Independence

By Dave Meserve
It is time for a New Declaration of Independence.

Do you worry about the future that your children and grandchildren will inherit?

Do you fear your government as it shows increasing disregard for the Constitution and for basic human rights and civil liberties?

Do you become angry at your powerlessness to change the course of your own government, motivated as it is by greed and lust for power in its quest for world domination?

Do you wish you could alter or abolish that government, through the ballot box or by non-violent resistance to its tyranny?

Do you view the government as separate from yourself and your values, and wish to withhold your consent from its actions?

This is exactly how many people felt in 1776, and how many feel today.

Read the Rest of this article and how the new Declaration compares to the original.

*Isn't it time we return to the fundamentals that made this country GREAT in the first place?

Ron Paul is the only choice in 2008!

THE AMERICAN DREAM

THE AMERICAN DREAM
Through the Eyes of Mrs. Ron Paul
I've been contacted a few times about writing a personal story of our family, because we have been called "The American Dream" family by people who knew us well. In doing this, it would have to start with the man RON PAUL, who saw the American Dream and decided that it could be his - and now he wants it to be yours if you so choose.....

That in itself is a testimony to a great and humble man.

....So the American Dream came true for a boy who delivered newspapers, a teen-ager who mowed lawns, delivered milk, delivered furniture, delivered laundry and delivered mail, and for a man who then delivered babies. Now that dream continues with a man who is trying to deliver your hard-earned money back to you and to deliver the message that freedom works and that patriotism must not grow weak in the hearts of all Americans. And liberty reigns to help us hang on to our Republic for which the Founders gave their last measure of devotion.

Ron Paul is, again, running for president

Ron Paul is, again, running for presidentBy SHIRLEY VANDEVER
Posted Sunday, March 18, 2007Read Comments-->COMMUNITY VIEW03/18/2007 -->
As the bloated bureaucrats in all levels of government simmer on their burgeoning pensions at our behest, a gaggle of competitors on both sides of the aisle have emerged to vie for the office of president of the United States.
They promise to make things different, and that there will be a change to business as usual. Claude Rains said it best in the last moments of "Casablanca," when he said to Humphrey Bogart's Rick Blaine:
"Round up the usual suspects."
Every quality that makes someone run for political office is usually an attribute that most citizens want least in their representatives, yet we are presented with the same candidates every year.
Their names may not be the same, but they are of the same ilk; euphoric with power (take a look at Nancy Pelosi's eyebrows), subservient to money (Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton squabbling over Hollywood dollars), and a schoolyard-bully mentality of "I beat the other guy."
Amid sound bytes, cleverly-scripted news conferences, and the oh-so-delicious-Newt-had-an-affair story, there was an announcement Monday, March 12 that you may have missed.
Ron Paul is running for president.
Never heard of him? No wonder. Barbra Striesand, Robert Redford and Warren Buffett have probably never heard of him either.
Ron Paul works tirelessly, yet we barely know he is there. Why? Because he is working tirelessly for us.
Congressman Paul believes steadfastly in what is slowly becoming a sad, almost ignored document: the Constitution. If a proposed law does not muster constitutional scrutiny, Ron Paul will not vote for it. He voted against the Iraq war.
Ron Paul is running for president.
Paul has spoken vociferously about the government's penchant for depriving people of their homes, farms and ranches. The Constitution, he believes, mandates that landowners must not be denied their right to life, liberty, and property.
Paul is considered an expert on economic and monetary policy, and serves as the ranking member of the House Financial Services subcommittee on Domestic and International Monetary Policy, Trade, and Technology.
The National Taxpayers Union recognized Paul as a "Taxpayers Friend" for the past 10 years. NTU President John Berthoud said: "If every member of Congress voted like Representative Ron Paul, Americans could enjoy much lower taxes and less waste in government."
As you watch the media show that is our political process, take a moment away from the talking heads of CNN, Fox News and Internet bloggers. Find out about Ron Paul. Look at his issues. Look at his record.
This is not an "American Idol" contest, this is our country.
Ron Paul is running for president.

Ron Paul Honored as "Taxpayers' Friend" for Tenth Consecutive Year

http://www.sierratimes.com/07/03/14/Taxpayers.htm
Ron Paul Honored as "Taxpayers' Friend" for Tenth Consecutive Year
Sierra Times

Washington, DC: Congressman Ron Paul has been recognized as a top advocate for taxpayers in the U.S. Congress for the tenth year in a row, earning the nonpartisan National Taxpayers Union’s annual award as a “Taxpayers’ Friend” for 2006. Only 30 of 435 members in the U.S. House of Representatives earned similar honors last year.
The annual NTU rating is based on critical congressional votes relating to federal tax, spending, and regulatory issues. Paul consistently ranks at or near the top of NTU’s scorecard in terms of his pro-taxpayer votes.

Overall, however, Congress is slipping when it comes to serving the least-represented special interest of all—American taxpayers.

“If every member of Congress voted like Representative Paul, Americans could enjoy much lower taxes and less waste in government,” stated NTU President John Berthoud. “Overburdened taxpayers in Texas and across the nation owe Mr. Paul a debt of gratitude for his hard work on their behalf.”

“While many Members of Congress talk about reducing the size of government, Representative Paul backed up those words with votes. This award proves that he/she is a consistent and effective ally in our battle to restore fiscal responsibility to Washington.”

A Foreign Policy of Freedom by Ron Paul

Foreword to A Foreign Policy of Freedom by Ron Paul
By Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr. Posted on 3/15/2007 [Subscribe at email services, tell others, or A Foreign Policy of Freedom by Ron Paul.]
Ron Paul has always believed that foreign and domestic policy should be conducted according to the same principles. Government should be restrained from intervening at home or abroad because its actions fail to achieve their stated aims, create more harm than good, shrink the liberty of the people, and violate rights.
Does that proposition seem radical? Outlandish or farflung? Once you hear it stated, it makes perfect sense that there is no sharp distinction between the principles of domestic and foreign policy. They are part of the same analytical fabric. What would be inconsistent would be to favor activist government at home but restraint abroad, or the reverse: restraint at home and activism abroad. Government unleashed behaves in its own interests, and will not restrict itself in any area of life. It must be curbed in all areas of life lest freedom suffer.
If you recognize the line of thinking in this set of beliefs, it might be because you have read the Federalist Papers, the writings of Thomas Jefferson or George Washington or James Madison, or examined the philosophical origins of the American Revolution. Or you might have followed the debates that took place in the presidential election of 1800, in which this view emerged triumphant. Or perhaps you read the writings of the free traders prior to the Civil War, or the opponents of the War on Spain, or those who warned of entering World War I.
Or perhaps you have read the speeches and books against FDR's New Deal: the same group warned of the devastating consequences of World War II. Or maybe, in more recent history, you understood the animating principles behind the Republican takeover of Congress in 1994: a generation had turned away from all forms of foreign and domestic "nation building."
Not only does this Paulian view have a precedent in American history; it sums up the very core of what is distinctive about the American contribution to political ideas. The proposition was and is that people are better able to manage their lives than government can manage them. Under conditions of liberty, the result is prosperity and orderly civilization. Under government control, the result is relative poverty and unpredictable chaos. The proof is in the news every day.
How unusual, how incredibly strange, that Ron Paul, who has stood for these principles his entire public life, is criticized by some as a radical, outside the mainstream, and influenced by experimental ideas that are marginal at best. And why is he treated this way? Because he takes the ideas of Washington and Jefferson seriously, just as seriously as he takes the idea of freedom itself, and he does so in times when faith in Leviathan remains the dominant political ideology.
Ideology is such a powerful force that it has propped up policy inconsistency for more than a century. The Left has a massive agenda for the state at home, and yet complains bitterly, with shock and dismay, that the same tools are used to start wars and build imperial structures abroad. The Right claims to want to restrain government at home (at least in some ways) while whooping it up for war and global reconstruction abroad.
It doesn't take a game-theory genius to predict how this conflict works itself out in the long run. The Left and the Right agree to disagree on intellectual grounds but otherwise engage in a dangerous quid pro quo. They turn a blind eye to the government they don't like so long as they get the government they do like.
It's one thing for the Left to grudgingly support international intervention. It makes some sense for a group that believes that government is omniscient enough to bring about fairness, justice, and equality at home to do the same for people abroad. In fact, I've never been able to make much sense out of left-wing antiwar activism, simply because it cuts so much against the idea of socialism, which itself can be summed up as perpetual war on the liberty and property of the people.
What strikes me as ridiculous is the right-wing view that the same government that is incompetent and dangerous domestically — at least in economic and social affairs — has some sort of Midas Touch internationally such that it can bring freedom, democracy, and justice to any land its troops deign to invade. Not that the right wing is principled enough to pursue its domestic views, but I'm speaking here of its campaign rhetoric and higher-level critique of government that you find in their periodicals and books. The precise critique of government that they offer for the welfare state and regulatory measures — that they are expensive, counterproductive, and hobble human energies — applies many times over to international interventions.
But the Right always seems to have an excuse for its inconsistency. In the early fifties, many on the Right said that the usual principle of nonintervention had to give way to the fight against communism because this was a uniquely evil threat facing the world. We have to put up with a "totalitarian bureaucracy" within our shores (words used by W.F. Buckley) for the duration in order to beat back the great threat abroad. And so Leviathan grew and grew, and never more than under Republican presidents. Then one day, communism went away, the regimes having collapsed from self-imposed deprivation and ideological change.
A few years went by after 1990 when the Right was inching toward a Paulian consistency. Then 9-11 happened, and the great excuse for Leviathan again entered the picture. Never mind that, as Congressman Paul pointed out, the crime of 9-11 was motivated by retribution against ten years of killer US sanctions against Iraq, US troops on Muslim holy lands, and US subsidies for Palestinian occupation. No, the American Right bought into the same farce that led them to support the Cold War: Islamic fanaticism is a unique evil unlike anything we've ever seen, so we have to put up with Leviathan (again!) for the duration.
Well, Ron Paul didn't buy into it. He is unique in this respect, and this is especially notable since he has been under pressure from his own party at a time when his party has ruled the executive, judicial, and legislative branches. He stuck by his principles, and not merely as a pious gesture. His critique of the post 9-11 warfare state has been spot on in speech after speech. He foresaw the failure of the US invasion of Afghanistan. He never believed the nonsense about how US bombs would transform Iraq into a modern democracy. He never went along with the propaganda lies about weapons of mass destruction. Nowadays, we often hear politicians say that they have changed their minds on the Iraq War and that if they had known then what they know now, they never would have gone along. Well, hindsight is child's play in politics. What takes guts and insight is the ability to spot a hoax even as it is being perpetrated. In any case, they have no excuse for not knowing: Ron Paul told them!
The freedom to trade internationally is an essential principle. It means that consumers should not be penalized for buying from anyone, or selling to anyone, regardless of their residence. Nor should domestic suppliers be granted anything like a monopoly or subsidized treatment. Nor should trade be used as a weapon in the form of sanctions. Ron Paul has upheld these principles as well, which makes him an old-fashioned liberal in the manner of Cobden and Bright and the American Southern tradition. He has also rejected the mistake of many free traders who believe that a military arm is necessary to back the invisible hand of the marketplace. For Ron Paul, freedom is all of a piece.

"May this treatise stand as an example of how to fight for what is right even when everyone else is silent."
Ron Paul's singular voice on foreign affairs has done so much to keep the flame of a consistent liberty burning in times when it might otherwise have been extinguished. He has drawn public attention to the ideas of the founders. He has alerted people to the dangers of empire. He has linked domestic and foreign affairs through libertarian analytics, even when others have been bamboozled by the lies or too intimidated to contradict them. He has told the truth, always. For this, every American, every citizen of the world, is deeply in his debt. In fact, I'm willing to predict that a hundred years from now and more, when all the current office holders are all but forgotten, Ron Paul's name will be remembered as a bright light in dark times.
We can't but be deeply grateful that Ron Paul's prophetic words have been collected in this book. May it be widely distributed. May its lessons be absorbed by this and future generations. May this treatise stand as an example of how to fight for what is right even when everyone else is silent. May it always be regarded as proof that there were men of courage alive in the first decade of the third millennium. May public and intellectual opinion someday rise to its level of intellectual sophistication and moral valor.

Americas Braveheart

Rep Ron Paul - America's Braveheart1-14-7
He might be this country's last chance for a real Constitutional Republic

Why to vote for Ron Paul and support him as this country's best hope of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness:

1. He is not swayed, as are the Corporate Democrats and Republicans by special interest groups like military contractors and the big oil companies - He is truly a man of the people and he loves the constitution of the United States. Ron Paul is not an elitist corporate puppet, he represents everything that made this country great.

2. He is against US involvement is unnecessary Wars.

3. He will protect all of our constitutional rights including the most sacred right of all - the right of self-defense - He has the only perfect score from the Gun Owners of America organization for his voting record in congress.

4. He will make sure this country does not continue down its path of becoming a total police state but unlike George Bush, he will rigorously defend our borders.

5. He wants to abolish the IRS and return to the era of prosperity and fairness by returning this country to the gold and silver standard instead of having a handful of private stockholders of the private Federal Reserve Bank printing money at will and manipulating our economy. This will be the return of Sound Banking Practices instead of fractional fiat banking which our Founding Fathers continuously warned us about.

6. He is a Vietnam veteran - he is a doctor who served as flight surgeon in the Vietnam war - not like some of these phony veterans that you see prancing around Washington D.C. on the news all the time.

7. According to the Associated Press , "Paul bills himself as "The Taxpayers' Best Friend," and is routinely ranked either first or second in the House by the National Taxpayers Union, a national group advocating low taxes and limited government."

8. "Here is another area where Ron Paul shines because he is a pro-American patriot. He loves this country and what it has stood for freedom, private property, rule of law, no intervention in other countries' affairs and he wants it to stand for that again. He has been speaking out on the floor of Congress against the war and against the myriad restrictions on freedom that have been foisted on us by a political class in Washington that is largely hostile to the freedom of Americans."

9. John Berthoud, president of the National Taxpayers Union, an organization that promotes lower tax rates, has said, "Ron Paul has always proven himself to be a leader in the fight for taxpayer rights and fiscal responsibility... No one can match his record on behalf of taxpayers." He is frequently considered an advocate of small business. Jack Harris, president of the National Federation of Independent Business, has said, "Congressman Ron Paul is a true friend of small business....

10. Ron Paul will make sure American farmers can stay in business and compete with China.

11. Ron Paul will make sure you can buy vitamins without a prescription and he will make sure the government doesn't outlaw them - Ron Paul will fight for your freedom of choice.

12. On January 11, 2007, Paul filed papers for an exploratory committee for the 2008 presidential race. This will increase his fund raising opportunities until his presumed eventual announcement. This first step of running for the Republican nomination is significant because he is not running as a Libertarian like he did nearly two decades ago. - Please realize that all of those pathetic hand-picked corporate sell-outs that the corporate media is going to give you as your only choices are NO GOOD - the media's corporate backers want you to believe that those phonies represent "the list of candidates" from which you are supposed to choose - please don't let them fool you this time - the fate of your country depends on it, the future of your family depends on it - Ron Paul is the only real candidate that will keep this country from getting into World War 3 (as UN weapons inspector for the Middle East Scott Ritter has predicted if we continue this war and attack Iran which is supported by Russia, China, and North Korea, all of whom have nuclear war heads)

Dr. Ron Paul is the only candidate that will defend our borders, and he is the only candidate that even cares about the constitution - this is it - right now - please do whatever you can do to help him win the nomination and the Presidency in 2008! He has a real chance of winning! No matter what party you subscribe to - Ron Paul is the right man for the job!

Please, don't just vote for him - get everybody you know to vote for him - this guy is the Braveheart of Washington D.C. - go out and campaign for him - Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, The Constitution Party - it doesn't matter - Ron Paul is the best of the best - Please do anything and everything that you can do to elect Ron Paul as the next President of the United States.

Ron Paul's office has confirmed reports that the Texas Congressman is set to run for the 2008 Presidency. Paul unites opposition to the war and the police state at home across the entire political spectrum and in contrast to the current gaggle of criminals running the White House, represents everything that America truly stands for. A gargantuan effort in support of Ron Paul needs to be mobilized now to prevent Americans from being hoodwinked once again into electing a different puppet of the same dark establishment in 2008.

Paul first ran for President as the Libertarian candidate in 1988, receiving a massive 400,000 votes. He now commands the support of those all across the political spectrum, from libertarians through anti-war Democrats to real paleoconservative Republicans.

Paul has been in and out of Congress since the 70's and is universally hated by the Republican elite, who routinely back Democrats against him just to try and get him out of office. The former Vietnam flight surgeon is the perfect candidate for President and activists from every corner of every political persuasion should mobilize now in an attempt to help Paul shatter the power monopoly of the Republican and Democrat establishment who have worked together for decades to slit America's throat in the interests of power, greed, and ego - all working towards the realization of a new world order.

The Texan represents a dying breed in Congress, those who actually cast their votes in accordance with the Constitution and not at the discretion of lobbyists or the fear that the elite will tarnish their political careers if they don't continually support the establishment. As a result Ron Paul is the elite's worse nightmare, simply having him on the ticket itself will be a massive public relations blow, and that's why media organs will probably be activated to try and discredit him before 2008.

Paul was one of only a handful of Republicans to vote against the illegal invasion of Iraq, contenting rightly that the Constitution clearly states that only Congress can declare war. In bucking a trend, Paul was anti-war long before the majority of the country came around to a similar way of thinking following the catastrophe of the occupation.

While Democrats soft-peddle and cozy up to Bush, creating phony arguments about the level of troop presence in Iraq and ignoring the majority will of the country to bring the troops home immediately, Ron Paul's opposition to unnecessary wars of intervention has remained steadfast throughout his entire political career.

If a gargantuan effort is made from now until the end of 2008 to heighten Paul's media profile and forward him as America's last hope, he truly has a significant chance of giving Jeb Bush, Rudy Giuliani or whichever elitist puppet the Republicans choose to put forward a real run for their money.

With the favor of the political landscape continually swinging away from the scam repeatedly run by the Republicrats and Democans, we should really start off on a positive footing and consider the fact that Ron Paul, though still an underdog, has a real chance of becoming the next President.

According to the Associated Press , "Paul bills himself as "The Taxpayers' Best Friend," and is routinely ranked either first or second in the House by the National Taxpayers Union, a national group advocating low taxes and limited government."

On every single issue of national importance - borders, the war, limited government, U.S. sovereignty, tax and the federal reserve - Ron Paul stands for populist ideals that the country is screaming out for after seven years of hell under Bush, preceded by eight years of disgrace under Bill Clinton.

Ron Paul voted against the Patriot Act, opposes the draft, advocates the abolition of the income tax, urges the re-introduction of the gold standard, and stands against initiatives to strip the U.S. of its sovereignty such as CAFTA and the FTAA.

Ron Paul has consistently upheld his commitment to civil liberties and slammed the militarized police state that Bush has created.

President Ron Paul could truly return America to the great nation it once was and his decision to run is an exciting development that we should all embrace and stand beside him in the fight to restore some form of dignity to the office of President that has been completely absent since the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963.

"Congressman Ron Paul is a dream candidate, a super patriot, a total Constitutionalist, an American hero."

"We must elect him President."
